The Class of '63

Wherever you may be

Whatever your status

Dear Classmates,

Thank you for your warm reception, your kind words of praise and for making me an honorary member of your class.  I am both pleased and humbled by your notes referring to the year we shared.   The effect was reciprocal. You made every day meaningful for me:  you made it evident that I had chosen the right profession.

I am delighted with the masterfully “forged” diploma.  It now hangs in a prominent place in our home. If I had a mortarboard with a tassel, I would move it from right to left to designate that I have been admitted to the honored ranks of the Mukluks.

My wife, Helen, and I wondered what it would be like to be with everyone after forty-five years. You made the meeting most enjoyable. We were both sorry that it took so many years for us to finally join in a reunion. Would it be an “in” joke to tell you that “you all look good*?”

Thank you, again, for a most memorable weekend and for considering raising my speech grade from 70%. (See here)

Sincerely.

William (Bill) Kushner

Honorary Class member

CHS class of ‘63

* In his speech, Mr. Kushner said that while Shakespeare claimed there were "seven ages of man," he states that there are only three: youth, adult and "you look good."
