CHATHAM  HIGH  SCHOOL
Class of '63

From Betty Abbott Lacey to Mr. Kushner

When I was in high school I would have never thought that speaking in front of groups could have any possible relevance in my adult life!!  How wrong I was!  In hind sight I can tell you how grateful I am for every speech or role in a play I ever had.  (I do believe one time I had a role in a summer play in which I walked out on the stage and went totally blank!!  I got back on track once someone whispered the first word to me!)  I have turned 180 degrees since those days.  In fact, now I enjoy speaking in front of groups—there’s nothing more fun.  As you know with my skin cancer program I’ve spoken to approx. 40,000 folks in classrooms ranging from elementary students to graduate students to adult groups.  I’ve even been videotaped and appear regularly on TV giving my spiel!

So, I have huge reasons to be grateful to your fine training!  You have no idea how influential you have been in my life--thank you.
