From Walter Struve

It was a very nice thing to do for Mr. Kushner. He mentored my older brother Guy in his last year at CHS (58-59) by letting him play one of the characters in the class play, which was Our Town - Guy played an absent-minded geologist in a cameo role in the first act and the experience was wonderful for him. Guy had a serious hearing problem and was two years younger than everyone else in the play, but he brought it off well. My mother was forever a fan of Mr. Kushner's after that.
